I'm currently finishing up studying audio post production at AIMM. I've been largely self-taught up until now, but formal education has improved my skills more than I could have imagined. The significant difference is the availability of professionals to answer questions and critique work. Books and tutorials may inform, but you cannot receive the necessary feedback and advice without a mentor or consultation!
